iPhone Applications - A Whole World of Possibilities

But for iPhone apps, the iPhone is literally nothing to speak of. We do agree the built-in apps are great, but what adds spice and improved functionality to the iPhone is the whole range of apps available on the App Store. Here's why a world of opportunity opens up through iPhone Applications.

We all know iPhone applications are great. But little do we realize how inevitable they are actually! The iPhone applications that we see today are quite varied in their functions. From little things like todo lists to huge project management and office-related software, we can find iPhone apps for almost every little thing that we need.

Quite literally, a world of possibilities opens up with iPhone apps. Impress your friends with cool spreadsheet applications, or those music enhancement things and much more right from your iPhone?? It is as easy as it can get only thanks to iPhone applications.

Some of the most prominent applications are mostly those of the utilitarian types. Mail is already built-in to the iPhone 4, but sometimes, you might want more functionality. Document readers, editors and more are great for work or office purposes. Apps for better Calendar management, Task Management and even Billing and Finance are hugely popular amongst professionals using iPhone 4. Password management is another application type which is very popular because people store their passwords and need high level of security.

Games Apps are the top ranking ones every time. Remember Angry Birds Or Canabalt? Such awesome games first appeared as iPhone applications / games! The way these games have captured the market and gone on to become some of the most popular and awesome games ever played are something that clearly shows what iPhone applications are capable of doing!

Diet-conscious and even those who work out a lot can get a lot of enhancement from their iPhones. Applications designed to track how many calories you've burnt, how many kilometers you have run, how long you have exercised are great add-ons to those who work out. With more impressive and feature-rich apps being added every day, there just doesn't seem to be an end to the whole range of possibilities that the iPhone applications opens up.

The iPhone applications are mostly free, while many of them come at a very low price. Once you get to the iTunes App Store, all you'll need to do is just click on the Download / Buy this App and in no more than a few minutes or even seconds, you could be using the application on your iPhone!

How to Choose Smartphone - Points to Consider While Choosing the Smartphone

What makes a smartphone really great? Do all the smartphones fit your purpose, usage and style? If you want to buy best smartphone – the one that fits your purpose, your style and your needs, you need to be very choosy. Here's some info on how to choose smartphone:

How to choose a smartphone? Well, most of us go by the spec sheet and by the popularity of the smartphone these days, right? But is that a right way to go about in order to buy the best smartphone that fits our need? We all know iPhone 4 is the best smartphone known to mankind, right now. But does that mean it fits everyone's budget and needs aptly? Hardly so, say experts. Here's some things you should consider before you go on and purchase your smartphone!

1. Smartphone for Fun? Or Work? - One of the first things one needs to know is that smartphones are not just professional mobile phones – they come with loads of fun and frolic these days! Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Google services, IM, Yahoo! Messenger, and many other social networking and socializing capabilities are things that people look out for. People want to be connected and this is what makes them choose their phone based on such features. If you are looking for a smartphone to be able to stay in touch with your friends, you should choose the one which boasts excellent SNS. Otherwise, if you want to take your work with you on your phone and be able to work on your phone, then the smartphone that suits you would have Document Viewing and Editing, Email functions, Push Email, IM and such proefssional tools.

2. Budget – Smartphones come in various types, shapes, sizes and with various features. So, quite obviously, the price too varies. An iPhone 4 would cost you a lot more than a smartphone from, say LG. Your budget forms the next major deciding factor on your decision. There are smartphones from Apple (iPhones) that are quite advanced and have lots of features built-in. And they cost quite a fortune. But one might not necessarily make use of all the features. A simpler Android-based smartphone from LG or HTC might be sufficient. In such cases, you need to look out carefully.

3. iOS or Android? -
Of late, the debate is on the operating system of the smartphone. Experts differ when it comes to the everlasting debate right now – iOS or Android? The fact that there are Windows phones too is not that important here. The fight is between Android and iOS. Both have almost equal number of advantages and disadvantages. It all depends on the taste. Performance-wise, iOS seems to outbeat Android, but when it comes to open, free and liberal applications,  Android seems to outsmart iOS there.

The iPhone 4 White - It's Old Wine In New Bottle

The iPhone 4 White came out just recently. Although it is not quite known why Apple chose to release the thing. Yet, many people like it. Here's more about the iPhone 4 White:

The iPhone 4 White is nothing new to the world now. But when it came, it was the best thing that Apple ever did. Because Apple only had white Macs till then and no one expected Apple to release an iPhone 4 in White. The iPhone 4 White is nothing different from the iPhone 4 Black version either. It has the same features, the same specs and the same feel – it's just that the color is different and that makes all the difference.

The iPhone 4 White, just like the black version of iPhone 4, sports a beautiful interface and a great feel. The smartphone comes with great connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS and EDGE and features Bluetooth and USB connectivity too for sharing of files between compatible devices. The camera, the front-facing camera, the media with iPod-like interface and loads of apps for multimedia make the iPhone 4 White a fantastic smartphone.

The most impressive thing about the iPhones is the App Store and the wide range of iPhone apps – the iPhone 4 is no exception to this either. Once into the App Store, the amount of apps you can find for iPhone 4 White would simply stun you. The apps range from those for social networking like for Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and more to email management, (Mail), and more. Browsing the web, managing email, connecting to websites and more becomes quite easy on the iPhone 4 White. The iPhone 4 White is definitely not just a smartphone – it's the smartest phone with the power of a personal computer.

The iPhone 4 White provides a lot of other features too. You can click great pictures with the iPhone 4 White. Not just this, but the media player on the iPhone is well-known. The iPhone 4 White adds great looks and stunning design to the blung and black iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 White is totally white – and that makes it quite different from the usual Black affairs of Apple. Rest of it is same and the specs are all as powerful as the ones that are found in the iPhone 4 Black.

It has been rumored that the release of iPhone 4 White might have an adverse affect on the release of iPhone 4S / 5.

Android vs iPhone Wars - Impact of Verizon iPhone on Android User

With Verizon offering iPhone, the dream run of market share by Android might actually be falling down. Here's more on the impact of Verizon iPhone on Android user which in somewhat close terms signifies the popularity of the iPhone despite the cost factor:

This February, Verizon brought the iPhone to its doorsteps. The impact of Verizon iPhone on Android user has since then began in earnest and has reached a limit where surveys have begun saying positively that Android market might actually be falling down. Before this incident, Android market shared about 15-20 percent of the smartphone buyers. Now where this has fallen is not exactly known or predicted, but the fall is huge enough to create a massive impact on the Android market.

The war between Android smartphones, like Samsung, HTC and more and the iPhones has always raged. With Google Android smartphones being offered on Verizon, the war just became bigger. However, with the latest decision by Verizon to bring the iPhone on its plans, the whole equations change. Popular surveys have been conducted on the buyers and mostly point to the fact that the success of Android phones on Verizon network was mostly because there was no iPhone being offered. The iPhone on Verizon has come in the CDMA version which actually is not that great considering AT&T. However, people are still ready to move or shift to iPhone on Verizon.

A lot of factors have been cited. Some people feel the iPhone has a great interface, while some say they are going for the iPhone because of the multimedia features. Many cite the fact that the iPhone has a powerful and more featured browsing, email, IM and network features. There are others who say they would like to get the iPhone on Verizon for the camera that it has. Survey has pointed out that not only the Android market but the BlackBerry market too might get affected because of the decision.

The Verizon iPhone has data plans that are quite good – because only Verizon offers unlimited data plans as of now. The voice plans too are quite good and on an equal-footing with the only other provider of iPhone – AT&T. The Android smartphones, especiall the Google S, might have already realized that these were bought only because of lack of options for the customers. Not that the Android smartphones are underperformers, but the fact that the iPhone simply beats them all makes it a wonder smartphone to be had no matter what.

Points to Consider While Switch Over iPhone Carriers – AT&T and Verizon

This is a time when people need to consider some points while switching over iPhone carriers. The switch is often required by people who are not happy with the costs involved or the features of their present provider. The iPhone comes in two variants – AT&T and Verizon. While the former is a GSM provider the latter provides a CDMA version of the iPhone. Here are some points you should consider before switching over iPhone carriers.

1.    Network Coverage –
This is the first and foremost criteria if you need the best calling and messaging experience. Let's have it – the iPhone has become a handheld computer but still, calling is the primary task. If you don't get good support on that, it becomes a total waste altogether. This is why network coverage of the providers must be taken into account. For now, AT&T seems to lead the race, being far ahead of Verizon, but having said that, it should also be noted that both providers have good coverage and are upgrading it this year.

2.    GSM, CDMA – The debate between GSM and CDMA is a never-ending one. We thought CDMA phones are gone for good but here comes the iPhone 4 on CDMA with Verizon! No one expected iPhone to support CDMA but that does mean something – Apple supporting CDMA is not a joke. But CDMA, if you happen to travel to European countries a lot, does not hold that much good for you. It is in fact not of any use. GSM is here to stay and with rumors of 4G coming up, GSM will hold the market.

3.    Multitasking Capabilities – On CDMA, there is very little multitasking. You can make a call and browse a website simultaneously. But GPS has multitasking on full-swing and lets you do a lot of other functions through the SIM even as you call. These various features make GPS far more powerful than CDMA.

4.    Cost – Last but not the least, cost is an important deciding factor. One needs to calculate the call costs, the message plans, the data plans and all other costs involved before one finally decides on which provider to go after. Switching iPhone carriers is easy but one definitely needs to know how it would affect your mobile expenses. This again depends on which you use more – data, calls or messages!

Why Professionals Prefer iPhone Over Android?

Why professionals prefer iPhone over Android? Why the recent market trend and reports suggest that the Android market share, though growing in size has not even come close to the iPhone market share? In fact, while more number of people are choosing Android phones, there is an even more number of people buying the iPhone and other iOS related products every year. The tug-of-war between Android and iPhone seems to be in favor of iPhone, and in fact, the stakes are clearly written – iPhone seems to beat Android.

1). Perfection Maniac – Android is the open-source version of software while iPhone dictates every little nitty-gritty that goes into any app. This means, on iPhone, you have apps that are very clear, concise, simple and elegant and on the Android, even though you might have apps as much as (if not more) that for iPhone, those are buggy, problematic in most cases and poorly designed. IPhone (and Apple) is a perfection-freak. It takes care of every little thing and that means it makes sure the apps stay user-centered and never get too detail-rich or techie.

2). Crash Numbers – Probably stemming from this issue, the problems of crashing OS have increased in Android. Not that iOS and the iPhone is not prone to crashes but the number of times an Android crashes due to buggy apps and problematic resources on the OS are far more than what the iPhone has to offer. Consequently, for business professionals who need a stable OS, the iPhone turns out to be better and they go for an iPhone.

3). Multimedia – Now this is something that everyone unanimously agrees. The multimedia capabilities of the iPhone are by far the best even when compared to those of Android phones. The Android multimedia is again not a standard one and there are many errors cropping up every minute – including those of import errors for photos or music. The iPhone, on its own (iPod) brings the best media experience and there are countless high-quality apps which make it even greater.

4). Accessories – Android accessories are few and far in-between and iPhone apps are cheaper. That's hands down and not many can contradict that. It is a known fact that accessories for Android phones are costlier and need to be carefully selected and bought. IPhone apps are something like dime a dozen and can be found in plenty.

iPhone 5 Features - What's Most Expected This Time?

The iPhone 5 features rumour cloud has already begun pouring across the world wide web. Technology websites, social websites, news wires and more websites are buzzing with news, rumors and information about the iPhone 5 and the features it possibly has. Here's a sneak peak at what the iPhone 5 bandwagon is all about:

Apple, maintaining its usual cloud of secrecy, has not spoken one word about iPhone 5 yet. There is no summer release which is a kind of a disappointment for those who were eagerly awaiting it. It looks clearly like any news about the device would only be out by the next Apple Developer Conference. Nevertheless, as in the case of iPhone 4, rumors, press reports, news and a host of other information is being released in a very frequent basis. The demands and the expectations of the people who are in the loop about iPhone 5 features are getting sky high without a doubt. The news and rumor mills are already churning quite a lot of information about what the iPhone 5 features might be or what the iPhone 5 features are in hot demand!

The iPhone 4 proved to be one of the most advanced smartphones of our times. It is quite tough to see anything more advanced than this, but a careful observation by many experts tells us that there is a lot of room for improvement. In fact, this is what has turned out to be the set of iPhone 5 features that are being expected or in demand. One of the prominent ones in this regard is the fact that some smartphones have processors that are faster than the one of iPhone 4. This is one of the expectations from iPhone 5 features this time around - to have a faster processor that beats all previous records.

The iPhone 5 definitely needs a faster performance. It is not just because Apple has always been setting benchmarks here, but also because the market for Android is slowly rising. The developers and programmers are focusing their abilities on Android OS because of its faster performance. Not just this, but more number of smartphones boasts Android with fast and equally heavy processors. This becomes a valid enough reason for iPhone 5 features to have a better, faster, quicker and smarter processor.

The design aspect of the iPhone 5 is rumored to be almost quite similar to that of the iPhone 4 but with certain changes here and there. To begin with, it is rumoured to be a unibody casing for the iPhone 5. This sure comes as a pleasant surprise because unibody designs are the way to go these days. The metallic, professional yet smooth, stylish and minimalistic but trendy design of the iPhone 4 carries on to the iPhone 5. With such a beautiful design, the iPhone 5 is sure to be palm-friendly to the users.
